3rd Annual Brentwood Grand Prix returns this Sunday 293x3001 Brentwood Grand Prix Returns This Sunday; San Vicente, Other Streets to be ClosedLast year’s event featured nearly 500 cyclists with a total purse of almost $10,000.  Race organizers hope to match or exceed that amount of riders this year. In addition to 10 races in various age and skill categories, there will also be a family-friendly Expo Area along San Vicente featuring booths from various health and fitness groups including Helen’s Cycles, Power Bar, UCLA Cycling Team, and the L.A. County Bicycle Coalition.

Please be aware of the following street closures on Sunday between 6:00am and 5:00pm: San Vicente Blvd between Gorham and Goshen Avenues,  Barrington Ave between Gorham Ave and Dorothy St, Gorham between San Vicente and Barrington, Barry Ave between Goshen and Kiowa Avenues, and Kiowa between Barry and San Vicente.  Click here for a detailed map of the race course.

Anyone who uses San Vicente regularly knows how much cycling has grown in recent years, and this event offers a fun way to promote health and fitness, as well as bike safety. Should be a great time, and hopefully this will remain an annual Brentwood tradition.
